Was a four-year member of the baseball and soccer teams at Ephrata High School... Started at shortstop as a junior and helped lead team to sectional and league championships... Recorded a .455 batting average with four homeruns, 26 RBI and 14 stolen bases in 25 games... Was named to the All-Section team... Also was named American Legion Infielder of the Year... Captained the team as a senior, despite missing the majority of the season with a knee injury... Managed to hit .333 with two homeruns and 12 RBI in six games.
