2011:
Appeared in 10 games... Finished the season with a 3.57 ERA and a 0-1 record in 22.2 innings pitched... Allowed zero earned runs in his first two games: Feb. 19 at McNeese State (2.0 IP) and March 3 vs. St. Bonaventure (4.0 IP)... Had five total games with zero earned runs... On March 25 Dean pitched 1.1 innings and allowed Charlotte just two hits... Had back-to-back games where he allowed just one hit: April 6 at Northeastern and April 19 vs. Sacred Heart.

University of Vermont:
Played one season at the University of Vermont... Pitched two innings in his lone appearance before suffering a season-ending injury.

High School:
Was a four year varsity member of the baseball team at Danvers High School... Captained his team as a senior... Recorded 184 strikeouts over 113 innings pitched and a 16-1 career record with a 1.24 ERA... Was named Player of the Year by both the Lynn Item and the Salem News... Also received Eastern Mass and All-State All-Star honors and was named to the Boston Herald and Boston Globe All-Scholastic teams.
