Closed the year with an eight-game hitting streak and hit safely in 16 of the last 17 games he played in... Recorded seven multi-hit games, including three of the last five games... Had two hits and two runs scored in the first game of a double-header against Saint Joseph's on May 1... Had two hits in the second game against Saint Joseph's on May 1.

High School:
Played varsity baseball and basketball at Westfield High School... Had a batting average of .404 as a senior and .415 as a junior... Was named to the All-Region team and was the team MVP his junior and senior years... Was an All-District selection as a sophomore... Also played for the Virginia Barnstormers AAU team... Hit .570 for the team in the fall of 2002, the highest average ever for a Barnstormer... Was an honor roll student.

Born on December 20, 1984... Son of Patricia and John Cunningham, who was a varsity wrestler at URI in the 1970's... Has two brothers who also were Division I athletes... Marketing major.
