Appeared and started in 56 of Rhody's 58 games as a sophomore... Batted .335 with 69 hits, 39 runs, 35 RBI, 11 doubles and and four home runs... Also finished second on the team with 17 stolen bases... Was 3-for-4 with two runs scored at NC State on Feb. 20... Went 2-for-4 against Santa Clara on Feb. 21... Was 5-for-8 with three RBI in two games against Duquesne... Hit a triple and had five RBI in a 12-6 win over Fairfield on March 2... Went 2-for-4 with a double and a stolen base in a 3-0 win over No. 8 Miami (Fla.)... Recoded three hits, a run, and an RBI against, No. 25 Ohio State on March 6... Went 2-for-5 and scored once against George Washington on March 20... Had two hits and stole a base against Bryant on March 25... Appeared in 27 games for the Rams and made 15 starts... Finished the season with 15 hits, seven RBI, six runs and two stolen bases... Made his collegiate debut at Troy on Feb. 23... Reached base on a walk and scored a run in URI's 6-4 win over Pittsburgh on March 1... Went 1-for-2 and scored two runs against Temple on March 21... Recorded a hit and a run at Brown on April 2... Hit his first collegiate home run in a pinch-hit at-bat to tie the game in the ninth inning against Richmond on April 19... Went 1-for-2 with an RBI at Sacred Heart on April 22... Went 3-for-4 with a double and two RBI against Saint Joseph's on May 3... Was 2-for-3 against Massachusetts on May 10... Recorded a hit and a run against Xavier in the second round of the Atlantic 10 tournament on May 22.
High School:
Was an honor roll student and four-year member of the baseball team at North Kingstown High School... Helped lead team to two Division titles and two appearances in the State Championship... Was a three-time All-Division and All-State selection... Also was a three-year starter in the Rhode Island All-Star game.
