How it Happened
Rhode Island (20-14, 8-3) built up a 6-0 lead before St. Bonaventure (13-14, 2-6) first scored a run in the bottom of the fourth. Rhody came back with a two-run fifth and plated another in the sixth before the Bonnies added another run in the bottom of the frame to make it a 9-2 game.
SBU tacked on two more in the seventh, but URI responded with a pair of runs in the eighth and another in the ninth to finish with 12 for the second consecutive game. The Bonnies rallied back with two runs in their final trip to the plate but were unable to get any closer.
