SMITHFIELD, R.I. - Junior Milan Adams went 3-for-4 with a run and an RBI as the Rhode Island baseball team took down Bryant, 4-0, on Thursday afternoon.

Senior starter Brian Bodjiak tossed 5.1 scoreless innings to pick up his third win of the season before handing the ball over to redshirt sophomore Rob Curran, who did not allow a hit over the final 3.2 innings of play.

With the win, URI improves to 18-13 on the season while Bryant drops to 13-16. The Rams have now won seven of their last eight games, including back-to-back shutout victories over Quinnipiac and Bryant.

Junior Mike LeBel put Rhody on the board first, scoring on an RBI groundout by senior Kyle Borden in the top of the first. The Rams pushed it to 2-0 in the top of the fourth when Adams' two-out single to center plated redshirt junior Dan Haverstick, who was hit by a pitch before advancing to second on a ground out by sophomore Kevin Stenhouse.

Rhody went on to double its lead in the top of the seventh when senior Tom Coulombe ripped a two-run double down the left field line to send in both LeBel and Adams. Coulombe now paces the team with 15 doubles on the season while LeBel is tied for the team lead with 26 runs.

The Rams return to action on Friday afternoon when they open up a three-game Atlantic 10 series vs. Saint Joseph's. First pitch at Bill Beck Field is set for 3 p.m.
