Nicole Poloski is in her second year as an academic advisor/learning specialist for the women's basketball, men's soccer and baseball teams.

A 2001 graduate of Providence College, she was the top graduating marketing major. During her four years with the Friars, she played field hockey under her maiden name, Nicole LaBranche. The year following her undergraduate graduation, she received her Masters of Education in Counseling from Providence in 2001.

A native of Cumberland, R.I., Poloski graduated from Cumberland High where she had a standout field hockey career. Nicole is responsible for monitoring academic progress, providing academic support, assisting in class selection and managing all graduate student tutors and study halls for the athletic department. Nicole also teaches an athletic-interest section of URI 101, a freshman seminar that introduces new students to URI and campus life.

Nicole resides in Cumberland, R.I. with her husband, John. Her father, Carl LaBranche, is an Associate Athletic Director for Facilities and Game Management at Providence College.
