URI Trio Featured on Cox Sports Television's Local Links

KINGSTON, R.I. -- A trio of familiar faces from URI Athletics are part of this month's celebrity foursome on Cox Sports Television's Local Links television show, which airs tonight at 5:30 p.m.
Director of athletics Thorr Bjorn, along with head football coach Joe Trainer and head women's basketball coach Cathy Inglese join host Scott Cordischi at Point Judith C.C. in Narragansett, teeing it up on the first hole for the cameras.
Local Links is Cox Sports' Golf Magazine Program. Each month, Local Links visits some of the most prestigious courses in the Southeastern New England.
The show introduces golf enthusiasts to courses they may have only dreamed of playing by way of our celebrity foursome segment. In this segment, host Scott Cordischi plays a hole with well known locals, many times taking sports figures out of the comfort zone of their own sports and onto the Links with him.
Additionally, the guest course's own golf pro will later look at the most remarkable hole on their course, offering up stunning visual scenery and useful information on just how to handle that particular hole.
The show will be re-run on Cox Sports Television (ch. 3) throughout the month and will also be available at any time on Cox's Local On Demand service.
