Second Annual PINK OUT Set for URI Men's Basketball Game Against Xavier, Feb. 18

The URI Athletics Department is pleased to announce details for the Second Annual Pink Out!

The event, which is used to generate breast cancer awareness while raising money for the Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Resource Foundation, will take place at the Rhode Island men's basketball game against Xavier on Feb. 18 at 7:00 p.m. at the Ryan Center. Last year's inaugural Pink Out drew in a record-setting student crowd and raised over $10,000 for breast cancer awareness. The Rams encourage you to show your support in making this year's event even more successful!

Fans should wear pink clothing to the game to help "pink out" the Ryan Center. Additionally, URI student-athletes will be selling a limited number of pink ribbon bookmarks and official Pink Out t-shirts ($5 each) throughout the week leading up to the game. Shirts and bookmarks will also be available at the game - while supplies last - with 100% of the profits going to the Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Resource Foundation.
